Jungle drums...

Strictly speaking, lions don't belong in the jungle, but we just love these lion masks. And as the lion is sometimes called the "king of the jungle", they seem to fit our jungle theme. Whip them up from a paper plate, draw the features (they are simple... really!) with a marker pen and carefully cut out the eyes. Glue on a wild, shaggy mane using scraps of just about anything you may have at hand... scrunched up paper bags, wool or fabric scraps, even bark from your own backyard jungle. He can hang on the wall or growl on the fridge, or you could add some elastic and let your little cub can wear him around. Rrrrooar! 

Gluesticks are easy for little fingers to hold.

Offer lots of choices to embellish masks, and create crazy manes.
